It is a true delight for me to share with you this curriculum to be used as a tool to assist children to become “so much the better”. I have a passion to inspire children to become their best selves and to be leaders who make a positive difference in the lives of those around them.
This curriculum is taken from the book, “SO MUCH THE BETTER”. It follows each chapter and pulls out the life lessons that are portrayed through the characters in the book. Each lesson is divided into three parts,
“Wisdom Talk”, “Words to Remember“ and ” Ways to Experience”.
Wisdom Talk shares words of wisdom pertaining to the lesson pulled from the book.
Words to Remember are Bible verses and quotes for the children to memorize.
Ways to Experience are hands on activities for the children to “experience” the lesson.
The lessons are meant to be user-friendly and adaptable to your situation and teaching style. If any supplies are suggested they are simple to find and you may already have them available. I tried to keep this curriculum as something you could easily pick up and use with not too much preparation time on your part.
The 21 lessons from the book include:
Ancestors, Remain Steady, Wisdom, Unknown, Goals, Positive Attitude, Self-Esteem, Anger, Patience, Courage, Self-Control, Trustworthiness, Life Purpose, Confidence, Doubt and Anxiety, Joy, Influence, Love, Determination, Forgiveness, and Unity.
This 45 page Curriculum Companion is my gift to all those who share my desire to help children of this generation to become their best selves and as a result they may hear the words spoken to them,
“I am so much the better after meeting you…”
“Teach a child to choose the right path, and when he is older he will not depart from it.” Prov. 22:6
I would like to thank my dear friend, Angie Phillippi for giving me the inspiration to write this curriculum for my book. The story of Ari touched her heart and since she is a teacher she said to me one day, “You need to write a curriculum for your book! There are so many lessons here!”
