The turning over of a new year can prompt us to remember the dreams for our life that we have held deep within our heart for a long time. We somehow glean hope that now we have a fresh new start, a new place of beginning and perhaps this will be the year that our dreams will finally come true.
But many times the year goes by too quickly and our dreams remain buried in our heart once again. We desperately hold on to them hoping for the best to come “someday”. This cycle can repeat itself for many years and for some their dreams may just fade away.
Many believe it is just the circumstances in their lives that keep them from their dreams. If only… is a thought that comes to mind frequently. If only….then I would be happy, then my dreams would come true. The truth is that our very own thoughts can either welcome our dreams or cause them to be delayed.
Our thoughts are extremely powerful. They can carry us forward into a state of blissful joy and then spiral us down into the depths of despair all within a few moments of time! Our thoughts can stop us in our tracks, they can steal our confidence, they can bring fear, doubt, and failure into our lives, causing unending heartache if we allow them to take control of us and this will surely shut the door to our dreams.
On the other hand, optimistic thoughts of faith, strength, positivity, receptiveness, peace, assurance, kindness, beauty, these kinds of thoughts will open wide the door to our dreams which will then allow us to experience them fully in our lives.
Ari faced this conflict of the soul when he was just a young cub. He learned the power of what thoughts could do. He had the dream of returning to his pride and beloved homeland. This was a huge dream, one that seemed utterly impossible for him. His circumstances were not at all good and there were many fears to overcome.
Initially, he leaned into thoughts of despair. If Ari had entertained them long enough he would have surely given up and not even begun his journey home. Instead, he allowed thoughts of faith and strength to take over his mind which caused a sense of confidence to build up within him. This was the opening of the door to his dream.
Every one of us has “thoughtful dreams”. What are your thoughts full of when you think of your dream? Are they full of doubt, fear, resistance, and anxiousness? Are they full of faith, confidence, trust, and peace? Will they slam the door shut or will they open the door wide so your dream can flourish.
You are the one who holds the door to your dreams. Either you will keep it shut tight or you will allow it to open wide. Thoughtful dreams with the right kinds of thoughts will bring exceedingly over and above what you could have ever imagined for your life!
